Shopping experience on 7/27/23 around 7pm: The check-out associate and manager were super helpful with accommodating the adjustments to my pick-up order in combination with an in-store purchase. I appreciated their patience, understanding, and skillful adjustments to ensure the prices and deals from my original purchase were honored.
I like the wide selection and affordable prices. And this particular DSW has been my go to even after I miss ved away from Columbia to SW Baltimore.
Took my father to DSW in Columbia to look for Vionic walking shoes. He didn't end up buying anything, but the Staff was courteous and the Store was very organized.
A warehouse full of shoes. Show lovers paradise!
Don’t miss the clearance section for great deals
Jeffrey was so polite and found the shoe I needed inbless than 1 minute
I went to this location on 6/2/2023 to pick up an online order. There was one cashier. Another person behind the counter marking down shoes. There were 4 people behind me. An associate that was off the clock came to the counter and wanted to purchase some shoes that he had behind the counter. Another associate came over and waited on him right away. At this point there were seven customers in line . We had been waiting for 10 minutes now. I raised my voice and asked were they going to get another cashier to help us because there was a line. The off duty employee turns around and tells us that they will be right with us but we have to be patient. I am appalled that he had the never to say anything. Other customers behind me started speaking out to the now six employees behind the counter we still have not waited on us. The customer service at this location is horrendous. I will not be returning to this store. They really need to work on their customer service skills.
I swear during the past couple of years this store has begun hiring the rudest people they can find or have completely thrown out customer service training. Employees on the floor actively avoid eye contact at all costs for fear you might ask them a question. And the rudest cashiers… once is a fluke but four times is plain mind blowing. Went two weeks ago. Was the only one in line with two cashiers one of whom wouldn’t acknowledge my presence and the other was busy joking and talking to the first one. Glanced my way a couple of times but nothing. Finally calls us up, we show him the coupon available on the phone and ask if we’re eligible for it. Didn’t take a second to read but wise cracks “which one? There are like four there.” Eventually asks for phone number to looks up the acct, enters it wrong twice while talking and laughing with the other cashier and says “nothing is coming up, want to try another number?” I have the same phone number for 15 years now. The time before this visit the cashier was mad at us cause she didn’t look us up during the transaction and i had to ask because I had a $10 rewards I wanted to use. She legit pushed herself away from the register and rolled her eyes. I couldn’t let it go and confronted her about her attitude and she says “I’m just really tired”. Mind you I was there at 11am. Called her out on her attitude so she pages the manager and walks away from the register so the manager jumped in and rang us up (no apology though). If we’re not getting the annoyed treatment, we get the silent treatment. The only question? “Want a bag?” There are no hellos or thank yous (i’d be the one greeting and thanking them). Can’t tell you how many times they’ve shouted over my head for the next person before I’ve collected my bags that they (forget handing it to you) don’t even bother sliding/turning over to you.
I mean, maybe it’s time DSW went all self checkout now since the cashiers clearly hate the job anyway. As it is, most times I go in to try on the shoes so I can order them online just so I don’t have to deal with the employees. I am giving two starts ONLY because I like the SHOES.
It says you close at 9... yet
I drove over here after work to buy new shoes and told you are closing at 8. Cool story. Thanks for wasting my time with your lying google information. 😒 wish I could give negative stars. …
